Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Tiny Terrapins (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

1. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old, and it must be legal for you to use a service like this where you live. You are responsible for checking that. One person may hold one account.

2. What the game is

Players use Shell Coins to pick which of several cryptocurrencies will have the best price return over a short race window. Race results are calculated from public market prices. Nobody trades real cryptocurrency, and no real-money prizes are paid out. Winnings are paid in Shell Coins from the pool of players’ stakes, less a house fee, as shown on the site.

If we cannot get reliable price data, or a race cannot be run fairly, we may void it and refund the stakes. We may also correct obvious errors.

3. Shell Coins

• Shell Coins are a virtual item used only inside the game. They are not money, property, a security or a cryptocurrency, and they have no cash or other real-world value.
• They cannot be sold, transferred, withdrawn, or exchanged for money, crypto or prizes, and we will never offer to buy them back.
• You can get them through the signup bonus, daily refills and purchases. We may change amounts, limits and availability at any time.
• We may adjust or remove Shell Coins obtained through bugs, abuse or fraud.

4. Buying Shell Coins with USDC

• Purchases are paid in USDC on the Base network. You must send the exact amount shown, as USDC, on Base only, to the address shown. That exact amount is how we match your payment to your account.
• Blockchain transfers are irreversible. Funds sent on the wrong network, in the wrong token, or to the wrong address cannot be recovered by us, and a payment with the wrong amount may not be credited automatically. If something goes wrong, email support@tinyterrapins.com with your transaction hash and we will try to help, but we can’t promise a refund or a credit.
• All purchases are final. Because Shell Coins are digital play items, we don’t offer refunds except where required by law.
• You are responsible for any network fees and for any taxes that apply to you.

5. Ads and refills

Some daily refills may involve watching an optional ad. We don’t control the ads shown by third-party networks, and refills may be limited, changed or removed at any time. Refills and ads must be used as intended (see the next section).

6. Fair play

Don’t: create multiple accounts; use bots, scripts or automation to claim refills or place bets; exploit bugs; interfere with the Service, its price data or other players; or try to access anything that isn’t yours. We can suspend or close accounts and remove Shell Coins and ranked points for breaking these rules.

7. Ranked league and future features

The ranked league awards weekly points based on where your pick finishes and shows an anonymous leaderboard. Ranked features may change, and we may reset or adjust standings. If we add features involving NFTs or other blockchain items in future, they will come with their own additional terms.

8. No financial advice

Race results and leaderboards reflect a game, not investment performance. Nothing on the Service is financial, investment or trading advice. Do not make real financial decisions based on it.

9. Your account

Keep your password safe. You’re responsible for activity on your account. You can ask us to delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy); any Shell Coins on it are then forfeited.

10. Availability and changes

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may change, pause or discontinue it, or these terms, at any time. If we change the terms, the date above will update, and continuing to use the Service means you accept the new terms.

11. Limits on our responsibility

To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties about the Service, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses from things outside our control such as blockchain or network problems, third-party outages, price-feed errors or lost or mis-sent crypto. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited.
